GOD’S CHILD REVIEW

Published by cathycouey at 9:19 am under Religion Edit This

VERSE OF THE DAY

Titus 3:5 (NIV)  he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

So as promised we will do a review of the week so far.  First I just need to make an anouncement.

Today I am 4 years old in the Lord Jesus Christ.  I am also celebrating 3 years clean and sober thanks to my Lord and His awesome deliverance from my addiction to “crack”.  Yes they happened exactly one year apart.  Not by any doing of mine but simply by His mercies and love.  That would be the reason for our verse of the day.

As for me, I have learned that trust in God is the only way that we can experience true freedom.  Let me explain.  I was so worried about a certain outcome this week that I sank into a mild depression and it was not until I was willing to turn the entire thing over to God that I was able to be released from my bound up state.  As most of you know by now, I only write about things that I am learning through my personal experiences.  So when I am doing a Bible study be assured that it is something tht God is trying to teach me first.  This week He has been reassuring me of His unfathomable love for me and His great desires for my life.

Now for a couple of questions sent in by readers.

1.  kristy

I love your blog! I love the plan you have layed out for daily bible
study! This is a Fantastic plan and a great way for so many to study
together since you have made it interactive!

I also love the widget you have…. the Shout Mix…. I will have to get that for my blog!

One thing… I wanted to subscribe to your blog so that I could get
daily reminders and wouldn’t forget to come every day (I haven’t
subscribed to anyone’s blog because I don’t have time, so this says a
lot about how I feel about your blog) and I couldn’t find a place where
I could subscribe?

Kristy and everyone else.  Up in the very top right hand corner of the post you will find this:

Feed on       icon_feed.gif Posts       icon_feed.gif  Comments
Click on posts and you will be given options for having it sent to you whenever I post.
Thank you Kristy for your loving comments.  Kristy is another writer here at Today.com and she has some fantastic things going on.  We will be joining her on Thursday on another of her blogs but you can check her out sooner if you like.

2.  For all of you like Kristy who love my shout box, there is a link at the bottom of the box to take you to the site to develop your own shout box.   I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.  If you are wondering the answer is yes that I do get UV’s through shout box by shouting on other blogs and i always visit those who have shouted on mine.  I originally put it there to post prayer requests and praise reports.  I do enjoy all of the comments that I get as well.

Now for an update.  Those of you who have been following know that we have been praying for a very tiny baby boy who was born early.  1lb and 11oz.  To let you know he is still doing well even though he had developed an infection.  Please continue to pray for this little guy as your prayers are answered.  I will try to get his AUNT to post a little more information for you on Tuesday.  Maybe she will bring us a picture if she can.  Continue to keep her family in your prayers.
We also need to pray for all those who are in college and are taking semester finals in the upcoming weeks.  I know about 10 personally who would appreciate your prayers.

Friends I believe that wraps up this week in review.  Please keep your comments and e-mails coming.  I still need testimonies and praise reports to post on Tuesdays.

Simply a thank you for the way you put your comment. It was very nicely done. As for your “birthdays” congratulations on both of them. As we might not agree on religion, it is still a wonderful thing to see someone who has helped herself come a long way in her own spirituality and health.
