RAY BOLTZ GAY? (WHAT DO WE DO?)
I have had a very disturbing day. I really do not know how else to describe it. You see I got up this morning planning to post a wonderful version of “I Pledge Allegiance To The Lamb” by Cristian artist Ray Boltz . First I discovered that the site I wanted to link to had been discontinued. so I began to search for another place to find the awesome video I was looking for. In doing this I ran across the most disturbing news, Ray Boltz has come out of the closet and announced to the world that he is Gay. I ran across a lot of opinions on what God, Jesus, and the Bible have to say concerning the whole thing. Some radio stations have even decided to boycott his music. Yes, homosexuality is a sin and therefore against God. I must admit that I was momentarily deceived by the spin that had been placed on God’s Word.
Let me start with this. Homosexuality is a sin in the eyes of God. So is gossip, backbiting, fighting, name calling, arguments, dissensions, divisions and, well you get the picture. How can we sit in judgment when we do the same thing (sin that is). Yes fellow Christians, we sin daily. the worst part is that we take God’s grace for granted. Oh, God understands that I just can’t help it I have to say something. Does He? Will God not judge us even for our thoughts? Can we teach others not to judge when we ourselves do the same?
Praise God that His mercy is new every morning because if it were not He would wipe us out in the twinkling of an eye for our double mindedness alone not to mention all of the other things we do. God does not tolerate sin but He loves sinners, even the pious ones. I for one will continue to listen to the music of Ray Boltz. It is not the man that stirs me but the message that God placed in the words of his songs. If God can speak to a profit through an “ass” I am sure He can speak to me through the music of this man. What is the one thing that we have learned on this blog site? Pray! Nothing and no one is immune to the power of prayer. Pray for Ray Boltz, pray for his family, pray for all of those who will listen to his music. Who knows, maybe God will use this public interest to bring another sinner home. Jesus and the Bible condemn all sin, even ours. “So let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” That is not me so I will walk away with the song in my heart. “I pledge allegiance To The Lamb” Jesus Christ who died that I might live.
